Former England and Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce believes Arsenal will win the Premier League this season.
Arsenal have gone close in the last two seasons in the title race but have been beaten to it by Manchester City.
Heading into the new season it is believed the Gunners are better equipped to finally land the elusive title.
Alladyce believes Mikel Arteta’s are now ready to beat City to land a first league title since 2004.
“I think Arsenal have been growing in the last two, three seasons and they came very close last year, but the year before they should have won it and they blew,” he was qouted on Arsenal News Central.
“They blew the title. I think this time the squad has got better, more additions to the squad and so will bring Man City close. And that’s why I have just picked Arsenal over Man City.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal continued their preparation ahead of the new campaign with a 2-0 win against Lyon on Sunday.
First half goals from William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes earned the Gunners the win.
