Nigeria’s U-18s will begin their campaign against Croatia at the 2024 International Handball Federation (IHF) Women’s Championship in Group B on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

The 10th IHF Women’s Youth U-18 Handball Championship is scheduled to take place from August 14 to August 25, 2024, in Chuzhou, China.

Ahead of the championship, the head coach of the Nigeria U-18 women’s handball team, Agboola Shittu, recently named his squad.

The 14-player roster includes a blend of two foreign players and 12 home-based players, with Esther Matthew of Addija HC as the team captain.

The home-based players consist of six from Sokoto Rima and three from Delta Force, while Imo Grasshoppers, Seasiders Babes, and Rivers Queens each have one player.

Nigeria is in Group B alongside Croatia, Montenegro, and Angola.
