Nigerian On-Air Personality, OAP, Do2dtun has blasted South Africa singer, Tyla, following her acceptance speech at the 2024 VMA Awards.
Tyla who was nominated alongside Tems, Ayra Starr, Davido and Burna Boy, won the Best Afrobeats Award.
Speaking at the event, Tyla faulted the grouping of African artistes under the Afrobeats label, despite the genre’s significant influence and success.
She further claimed to be an Amapiano singer and not Afrobeats.
