Imo State Internal Revenue Service has got a new acting Chairman in the person of Remigius Justice Okoye following his appointment by Governor Hope Uzodinma.
The appointment was made public through a press release from the Chief Press Secretary and media adviser to the Governor, Oguwike Nwachukwu.
“Governor Hope Uzodinma has approved the appointment of Mr Remigius Justice Okoye as the acting Chairman of Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IlRS); the appointment is with immediate effect,” the release partly stated.
According to him, Okoye, who is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants (FCA), comes into the office with a rich resume in accounting and related disciplines that span many years.
Governor Uzodinma urged Okoye to deploy all available frameworks within the disposal of his agency “to enhance the revenue generation capabilities of the IIRS, thereby improving the financial base of the State Government.”
