Ika south local government area of Delta State has banned the activities of scrap and metal scavengers, popularly known as ‘Iron Condemn’.
This was disclosed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the local government, Mr. Kainji Aluge Obia, and made available to the press.
He said the suspension was due to the illegal and criminal activities attributed to some of the scavengers.
