The government of Ondo State has ordered immediate evacuation after flood waters caused extensive damage to properties valued in the millions of naira in various parts of the state.
Henzodaily understands that the flooding followed a prolonged heavy rainfall that persisted for several hours on that day.
Affected areas included Itanla, Oka, Odo Ijomu, Bethlehem, and the Akure-Ondo Expressway, among others.
Reports indicate that numerous homes and vehicles in the impacted neighbourhoods were inundated, displacing many residents.
