The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has thanked President Bola Tinubu for conferring on him the national honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).
Henzodaily reported that the Green Chamber within the week rejected the honour of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) conferred on the Speaker, while the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, was conferred GCON.
The House argued that the House is of the same ranking as the Senate. They demanded that the President confer on the Speaker the national honour of GCON.
