Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the extension of N25,000 wage award to workers and N15,000 wage award to pensioners by another three months.
Makinde made this announcement on Saturday in Ibadan, the state capital during the 2024 World Teachers’ Day celebration with the theme: “Valuing Teachers’ Voices Towards a New Social Contract for Education”.
DAILY POST reports that the wage award to workers and pensioners was introduced by the governor as a result of the removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol by the federal government.
