The host nation, France, showcased their quest for a medal as they defeated Canada 82-73 with a 9-point margin on Tuesday, August 6, in the second knockout game of the Paris 2024 Men’s Olympic Basketball Event.
France began the game strongly, leading in the first and second quarters, 23-10 and 22-19, respectively, ending halftime with a double-digit margin of 45-29.

However, they were overpowered in the third and fourth quarters, which ended 16-21 and 21-23, respectively, in favor of Canada. Despite this, France secured the victory through their strong performance in the first half.
