The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has announced that search and recovery efforts are ongoing following Thursday’s Sikorsky SK76 helicopter crash off the coast of Port Harcourt in Rivers State.
Additional diving equipment and resources are set to be deployed to aid in the extended operations.
Henzodaily reports that crash occurred at approximately 11:22 a.m. near Bonny Finima. The aircraft carried eight people—six passengers and two crew members—at the time of the incident. To date, five bodies have been recovered, while three individuals remain missing.
