Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has admitted he is “worried to death” about Andre Onana ahead of the new season.

Scholes, speaking on The Overlap, also said he is not excited about United this campaign.

The Red Devils finished in eighth place last term and beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Erik ten Hag has since added Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee to his squad.

But Scholes said: “I’ve heard a lot of United fans saying they’re excited for the new season, but I’m struggling to get excited.

“The middle of the pitch being an area where we’re just f*cking empty. Teams just breaking through us.

“I still worry about the goalkeeper, he’s a big concern for me. Even watching the pre-season games, a couple of goals he conceded against Liverpool… I worry to death about him.”
