Award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid took to social media to celebrate his mum, Juliana Morayo Balogun's posthumous birthday.
The singer's mum passed away in August 2023 and was laid to rest in Lagos by her family in October 2023. Mrs. Balogun was survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Sharing on the microblogging platform, X, the 33-year-old mourned his late mother as he celebrated her first posthumous birthday. He emphasized how life has been empty without his mother.
Wizkid recently announced that his new album “Morayo” will pay tribute to his mother.
In his tweet,
“Happy birthday love of my life! Miss you everyday. First one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you mama! Life is empty without you. Continue to watch over us ! My heart is broken forever ! love you love love you MORAYO mi. Your smile is all a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. I miss you dearly!
