He recorded 20 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, raising hopes that Greece will advance to the next round after defeats to Canada and Spain in their first two games.

“I feel great. We competed well in all three games. The first two games did not go our way. But I think even with one of the best teams in the tournament, Canada, third in the world last year, we competed extremely hard, played great basketball,” he said.

“Then, I was proud of the team and the way we competed against Spain, obviously wasn’t as focused.

“I think in the second half we were more focused, we defended, better played faster, found all the shots, find these baskets and we competed, I think very in the best of our ability against the best European team, which is Spain two years ago.”
