The Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu on Wednesday, sacked the member representing Igboeze North/Udenu federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Simon Atigwe.
The three-man panel of the court, in a decision read by its chairman, Justice Ekanem, said Atigwe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was not duly elected by the valid votes cast in the rerun election.
The appellate court, by its ruling, upheld the ruling of the House of Representatives tribunal, which had earlier sacked Atigwe.
