COPS are being probed after they failed to stop murderer Finlay MacDonald who they followed for eight miles before opening fire with a shotgun on an osteopath and his wife.
The officers who were in their marked police cars tailed the nut for eight miles on his way to try and kill the couple – but a control room inspector almost 200 miles away told them not to stop the armed fiend.
