Kevin Durant has made history as the first player to win four gold medals in men’s basketball at the Olympics.
Durant starred as the USA defeated hosts France 98-87 in the final on Saturday night.

The Phoenix Suns star displaced Anthony Carmelo, who also won four Olympics medal.
Carmelo won three golds (2008, 2012 and 2016) and one bronze (2004).
The 35-year-old has now won gold in four consecutive Olympics; London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024.
He could add to his legacy at the 2028 Olympic Games which will be hosted in Los Angeles, United States of America.
