The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has set up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the arson, killing and destruction of property at some Local Government Council headquarters.
Henzodaily reports that some yet-to-be identified hoodlums had on Monday attacked some LGA secretariat burning and attacking staff onsight.
The violence came barely 24 hours after the swearing-in of new council bosses following Saturday’s election.
The constitution of a Judicial panel was made known in a statement on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo.
