Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has declared the invasion of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, headquarters as needless, unconscionable and condemnable.
Sani said the action must have been a product of false or misleading information or the handiwork of an agent provocateur.
He urged the security agents reportedly occupying the Labour House to withdraw.
He posted on X: “The invasion of the NLC headquarters is needless, unconscionable and condemnable. It must have been a product of false or misleading information or the handiwork of an agent provocateur.
“The security agents reportedly occupying the Labour House should be withdrawn.”
DAILY POST reports that the NLC had raised alarm over the reported invasion of its office by security agencies.
The labour union in a statement signed by Comrade Benson Upah Head, Media and Public Relations and shared on its official X handle on Wednesday, claimed that a troop of heavily armed security operatives invaded the Labour House located at Central Business District, Abuja.
Labour also called for the immediate withdrawal of federal government armed security agents from its office.
