On Thursday, September 19, the Federal Government raised an alarm over the rising cases of suicide in Nigeria, which it revealed stood at 12.9 percent.
This figure, the government noted, was frightening, even as it disclosed that cases of suicide were under-reported in Nigeria.
The concern was raised by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, at an event to mark the 2024 World Suicide Prevention Day on Thursday.
