Nigeria’s medal hopeful, Lucy Ejike, finished in fourth place, missing out on a podium finish on Friday, September 6, in the women’s 67kg powerlifting event at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Ejike’s inability to secure a medal ended her longstanding career streak of winning a medal in every Paralympic event since her debut at the global showpiece in Sydney 2000. Competing in the 44kg weight class at Sydney, she won a silver medal with a lift of 102.5kg.
