Nigerian basketball player, Nnaji James has joined Girona on loan from Barcelona until June 2025.
Barcelona announced James’ loan move to Girona in a statement released on Sunday, August 4.

Nnaji could not find much playing time after Youssoupha Fall signed, with Willy Hernangomez and Jan Vesely already in the roster.
Last season, Nnaji played 19 games in Turkish Airlines Euroleague, averaging 2.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, 0.2 assists and 3.2 EFF.
Nnaji who grew up in Makurdi, Nigeria where he started playing basketball, is from the middle belt (central) region of Nigeria.
He began his career with Rátgéber Akadémia, a team in the Hungarian league where he moved to Barcelona in 2020, joining FC Barcelona B in 2020.
From there, he would move up to the A team of FC Barcelona in 2021, making thirteen appearances in the 2021–22 season.
