One soldier was reportedly killed while four others escaped an ambush by bandits in the Dansadau axis of Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
DAILY POST gathered that the troops from Sector 1 were ambushed while on patrol and escort duty along Dansadau-Yar Galadima road.
According to a villager, Muhammad Isah, the ambush was staged at Mashayar Zaki area as the troops were escorting soldiers going on leave and civilian vehicles moving to a local market.
