The Osun State has passed into law a bill to establish the Osun State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission.

According to a statement by Tiamiyu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Assembly, the bill was passed into law after the third reading by the and a consequent voice vote on Tuesday during plenary.

Tiamiyu added that the Speaker of the House, Adewale Egbedun also directed the Clerk, Simeon Amusan, to prepare the clean copy of the bill for Governor 's assent.

According to the statement, “The Bill consists of 58 clauses and will provide a legal framework to corruption in the state.

“The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun expressed his confidence in the Bill, stating that it provides necessary tools to fight corruption and promote accountability in the state.”
