Yusuf Otubanjo scored the goal that secured a 1-0 home win for his Armenian club Pyunik against Kazakhstan’s Ordabasy Shymkent, in the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
Otubanjo and his Pyunik teammates progressed into the play-off round 2-0 on aggregate.
The 31-year-old scored in the 66th minute to help his side into the final qualifying round.
In another third qualifying round, England-born duo, Toyosi Olusanya and Dennis Adeniran featured for St Mirren, who lost 3-1 to Brann.
Olusanya and Adeniran played for 90 minutes but could not help St Mirren avoid defeat as they crashed out 4-2 on aggregate.
Other teams who made it to the Europa Conference League play-off are Legia Warszawa, St. Patrick’s Athletics, Zira, Copenhagen and CFR Cluj.
Others are Kilmarnock, Istanbul Basaksehir, FC Noah and Djurgaarden.
