The Nigerian women’s basketball national team D’Tigress have crashed out of the Paris 2024 Olympics after losing to their United States counterparts in the quarterfinal.
D’Tigress put up a good fight on Wednesday night but were stopped by world number one USA in a highly entertaining fixture.
Coach Rena Wakama masterminded the Nigerians’ massive improvement at this year’s summer games.
The Nigerian girls defeated Australia and Canada in the preliminary rounds and became the first African team to qualify for the quarterfinal.
