The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged the National Assembly to speed up action on modalities for the coverage of the new national minimum wage.
The NLC president, Joe Ajaero made the call during a book launch on Monday in Abuja.
Recall that on July 24, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, said during a plenary session that the ₦70,000 new national minimum wage applied to all workers, including maids and other domestic staff.
However, Ajaero stated that the National Assembly must be specific on the area of coverage of the new minimum wage.
