During the 2-2 draw match between and , Salah and his manager Klopp were captured in a heated argument, just before his substitution.

Klopp who is known for having a chit-chat and handshake with his players before substitution, expected same from Salah before his introduction as a substitute.

Although they eventually exchanged a fist bump, the initial neglect reportedly annoyed Klopp.

According to a source close to SunSport, Klopp values interaction with substitutes before their entry onto the pitch and felt Salah's initial snub was a shift from the usual.

“This has happened occasionally with Jurgen and other players.

“He is very big on interaction with his subs before they go on and felt it didn't happen at first with Mo.

“Mo was obviously annoyed at being left out of the team and wasn't in the best of moods while Jurgen wasn't happy with his behaviour,” the source told the media outlet.

Meanwhile, after the game, Klopp made efforts to calm the situation, but tensions remained high, with Salah refusing to speak about it.

Instead, the Egyptian star claimed, “There's going to be today if I speak.”

Reports also indicate that the team have been given time off to cool down, with hopes that tensions would dissipate before the they reunite again on Tuesday.
